MISSION STATEMENT

GreenWood Elite strives to empower student athletes with both educational and basketball skills to give them the foundation, confidence, commitment and the belief of success to ensure that they possess the tools necessary to pursue their dreams.

GreenWood Elite has built a network of highly-qualified professionals that will serve as academic, basketball and life-skill mentors in order to foster a cultivating and encouraging environment for each student-athlete to thrive in.

The academic success of its student-athletes is fundamental of the GreenWood Elite AAU program. GreenWood Elite will offer academic and SAT & ACT tutorials to enhance the potential of collegiate qualifications and acceptance. At the core of GreenWood Elite’s mission is building a structure that is a positive and supportive influence on the growth and development of its student-athletes. They will be armed with a foundation of academic, decision-making, planning, responsibility, reliability and perseverance skills that will contribute to their potential as they mature into young men.

THE PROGRAM

GreenWood Elite is an AAU Basketball program that is operated and owned by two Professional athletes:

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors
and
LaMarr Woodley of the Arizona Cardinals

These two Elite players, who have a passion for hard work and for helping young men reach their full potential, have come together to form a program based in their home state of Michigan, composed of Elite basketball players who possess the same drive, passion and talent that helped carry them all the way to the NBA and the NFL.

2015 is the inaugural year for the GreenWood Elite Basketball Program. The teams’ culturally diverse rosters will include kids from all areas of Michigan, who will have exposure to new experiences. Players will have the opportunity to travel and to participate in top tournaments across the country, as well as attending skills camps and customized practices to strengthen their game fundamentals.

Academic skills tutorials will be provided to ensure a focus on classwork in addition to their commitment to basketball.
